Dear members of, and visitors to, the wagnerheim.com discussion forum:

Here is an announcement by the Ethics and Public Policy Center that the sponsor of this website, Roger Scruton (now, Sir Roger Scruton), and a Senior Fellow at EPPC, has been knighted by Queen Elizabeth II:

EPPC Senior Fellow Roger Scruton has been chosen to receive a knighthood from Queen Elizabeth II for his “services to philosophy, teaching and public education.” Professor Scruton’s award was announced in the Queen’s Birthday Honours list published last week.

The British government’s official announcement of the honor notes that Professor Scruton is “often described as Britain’s foremost philosopher.” He is the author of dozens of nonfiction and fiction books on topics such as art, music, architecture, conservation, philosophy, and religion.
