Dear fellow Wagnerians:
I've had a bit of a summer hiatus due to making my first editorial pass through the entirety of my 1,000 or so page online book "The Wound that Will Never Heal" (i.e., my book on Wagner's "Ring"). It's slow-going because my original online book, which is posted here at www.wagnerheim.com, was already the product of more than 30 years of editing, and is so organically interdependent, each argument and body of evidence supporting all others, that it's very difficult to tease out what I must regard as my most indispensable thread of argument and evidence. However, I realize that this much larger online version will always be available to those reading my much briefer (and hopefully much more accessible) hardcopy version, so on that basis I should be able, perhaps by sometime next year (2016) to produce a first draft of the version of my "Ring" book which I wish to present to publishers for consideration.
Sorry for the hiatus. I hope to get back to making more frequent contributions to our discussion forum. Tons of issues in interpretation are forthcoming, and all kinds of philosophic questions generated by the problem of attempting to offer a conceptual interpretation of Wagner's "Ring" and his other operas and music-dramas.
Your friend from Wagnerheim,
Paul alias Alberich00
