Final Revision of my "Ring" book now complete

Dear members of, and visitors to, the http://www.wagnerheim.com discussion forum:

My third and final revision of my online book on Wagner's "Ring," Volume One of "The Wound That Will Never Heal," which I've been working on for about a year in order to prepare it for publishers to review for potential publication in hardcopy, is more or less complete. One of my last tasks has been to write an Epilogue in which I both critique Dr. Philip Kitcher's and Dr. Richard Schacht's 2004 book on Wagner's "Ring," "Finding an Ending," and respond to Dr. Kitcher's brief critique of my book, and critique Sir Roger Scruton's 2016 book "The Ring of Truth - The Wisdom of Wagner's 'Ring of the Nibelung'," and respond to his critique (in his book) of my book. I'm still tweaking it because I want to get it just right. It seemed initially appropriate to include this material in my Introduction, since that surveys the significance of prior studies of Wagner's "Ring" which were important influences on my own, but I wanted to keep my Intro comparatively short and this material would have more than doubled its length, so I'll be placing it at the back of my book as an Epilogue.

Also, I'm collaborating with Dr. Allen Dunning, my music consultant, to complete the work needed to add 16 motifs (possibly 17) to his original motif list of 177 motifs, and this is taking some time, but it should be completed before the end of this spring. Aside from these things, I have to touch up my book here and there in small ways before I send it to publishers, but it's essentially complete.
